This small device, not bigger than a half-dollar, can save your life. It’s called Athena and is a small, wearable device meant to reduce assaults against women. So, how does it work? Well, if the woman wearing it feels like she’s in danger, she can push the button on ‘Athena’. By doing this, the device will send out an alarm inventors say is “louder than a freight train.” Moreover, it will send an SOS signal that goes out to the cell phones of the woman’s friends and family.
