Many parents avoid getting a dog because they fear it would put their children in danger. In reality, there are plenty of advantages that came from raising children with pets. Kids learn what it means to be responsible for another living being, they learn compassion and confidence. More often than not, children who had pets growing up are more sociable and have better people skills.
