New Jersey Senate Passes a Bill That Requires New Pet Stores to Sell Only Rescue Animals

The Humane Society evaluates that there are no less than 10,000 puppy processes in the U.S. creating more than 2.4 million a year—and under 3,000 of those are managed by the U.S. Branch of Agriculture. In the interim, as per the ASPCA, roughly 3.9 million puppies enter protects each year—and every year, 1.2 million canines are euthanized.

With an end goal to take action against the utilization of puppy factories, one state is standing firm: The New Jersey Senate affirmed a bill not long ago that would require pet stores authorized after January 12, 2016 to offer just mutts and felines acquired from sanctuaries and creature safeguard associations.
