Segment from “American Bandstand” in 1964 will have you dancing right along

TV, rock and roll and adolescents. In the late 1950s, when TV and rock were new and when the greatest era in American history was going to enter its youngsters, it took a touch of inventiveness to see the potential power in this now-evident mix.

The classic tv show that advanced into American Bandstand started on Philadephia’s WFIL-TV in 1952, a couple of years before the well known climb of rock and roll. Facilitated by famous radio character Bob Horn, the first Bandstand was about to start gaining fame.
