A cat chasing a dog is not something you see every day. It’s usually the other way around. But then again, the cat in the video below is a little larger than most. That because Salati is not a common cat, but a fierce leopard with an unusual best friend
Tommy is an adorable Golden Retriever, and the two very different animals like nothing more than to chase each other and play before settling down for a friendly cuddle. The two first met at Glen Afric Country Lodge in South Africa and they’re inseparable ever since.
Salati was just a cub when arrived at the centre. Since she tragically lost her mom, the poor thing found her comfort in the most gentle and kind soul she found – a dog. Tommy immediately took the confused orphaned cub under his wing and offered her love and protection.
Even it didn’t took too long until the once tiny cub grew into a large wild cat, Salati and Tommy are still playing like two little kids. “Wherever you see one the other is right behind.” Richard Brooker, Salati’s caretaker said. “They are inseparable and both have lots of energy so they get the exercise they both need together. It’s all fun and games and they love playing together.”
