Woman feeds blind raccoon, then films him when he returns with 2 ‘bodyguards’

Who you know is just as important as what you know, or at least, that is what some people say. I’m not sure whether that is actually true or not, but it definitely seems to apply in the case of the raccoon in the video below.

According to the clip’s brief description on YouTube, the raccoon who is at least 5 years old has been visiting the same house for the past few years looking for food. Those who own the house have many reasons to believe that the raccoon is at least partially blind, as they saw him walking into things on numerous occasions. However, that hasn’t stop him from befriending two sneaky felines who double as his “ferocious” bodyguards and escort him to everywhere he goes. Impressed by the raccoon surprising social skills, the owners decided to post a video showing the blind raccoon proudly walking alongside his entourage.

Now, the most plausible explanation is that the cats just figured out that whenever the raccoon is around, food is available, as the owners of the house made a habit of leaving food out for him. But I kind of like the first story better. What about you? Take a peek:
